Place the mid century modern lamp shades frame on unrolled Kraft paper with the seam side touching the paper. Keep a pen even with the upper edge of the frame and track along the edge of the frame. For a round frame, roll it along the paper, following the curved line that makes the pen. .

Repeat the labeling process for the bottom of the frame. Line the top of the frame with your first mark and follow it as you trace the lower edge of the frame. Cut out the template and wrap it around the frame to ensure that it fits. Trim up any rough edges as needed.

Trace around the template, or attach it to the fabric. Fold over 1/4 inch along the top and bottom edges and iron to crease the fabric along the fold. Cover the wire frame with fabric. Spread a line of glue along the cut edge of the fabric. Cut fabric as needed around the inner parts of the frame.
